JOINERYThe systems we employ, like the frames themselves are based on Eastern methods, which have more than proven the test of time. There are more and varied types of joinery systems common from this style than any other. Reflecting the many different applications one may need to address in any give structure.
The layout method, (application of joint to timber,) is also infinitely different contrasted to how most frames are cut. We use a traditional centerline layout method that is thousands of years old and we apply the metric system to this. We find the metric system to be far superior to the English system. Once again, most systems around the world prior to the English system were base on a unit ten arrangement; perhaps the reason the rest of the world is metric.
